IN-NETWORK WITH MOST INSURANCE CARRIERS

Seeing an "in-network" provider means you are getting your best set of coverage. Evergreen Dental is proud to be in-network with most major PPO dental insurance carriers including (but not limited to):

  • Aetna
  • Blue Cross Blue Shield
  • Cigna
  • Delta Dental
  • Metlife
  • United Healthcare

Our team will help you understand your benefits, avoid out of pocket costs, file insurance claims on your behalf, and make the process as seamless as possible.

However even within one contracted carrier, there are many different plan types, and your policy may have provider limitations. If it's important to you that you see an in-network dentist, it's best to confirm before your visit!

Please provide us your insurance carrier and subscriber ID number when you schedule your first appointment with us and we'll take it from there. Our office will verify your eligibility and benefits and inform you of any surprises.

We’re here to help you get the most out of your plan and insure your care is both accessible and stress‑free.

NO INSURANCE IS NO PROBLEM.

We understand that traditional dental insurance is not a good fit or an available option for every patient. If you don't have coverage we want to offer a a special in-house discount plan to keep your dental care affordable. There is an enrollment fee the day that you sign up, but then you have peace of mind and deep discounts for a year. See our brochure or ask an associate for details.

Frequently Asked Questions

If you've got a question that isn't answered below, send us an email. We'll get back to you as soon as we can. Or give us a call any time!

  • My tooth pain went away after a day or two. Should I still come in?

Most definitely! Subsiding pain doesn't necessarily mean that the underlying issue is resolved. Dental pain could indicate problems like infection, tooth decay, gum disease or a cracked tooth! Leaving the issue untreated could lead to further complications. We always recommend coming in to address pain promptly to prevent a worsening condition and more comprehensive treatment later down the road.

  • Do I need a "deep cleaning"?

Routine cleanings (prophylaxis) are the preventative measure recommended every 6 months to prevent gum disease. If you haven't seen a dentist regularly, plaque and tartar may have built up below the gum line and you may have periodontitis.

Other offices may say that at this point you need a "deep cleaning". We think that phasing is misleading. Periodontitis is gum disease and it is treated with a restorative scaling and root planing procedure, monitored and then maintained with theraputic perio visits 3-4 times a year. Gum disease is rarely reversible, so it's important you speak to your dentist about next steps.

  • What is periodontal disease, and what are the signs?

Periodontal disease (commonly known as gum disease) occurs when plaque builds up on the teeth and irritates the gums. There are varying degrees of gum disease ranging from Gingivitis which is characterized by bleeding and inflammed gums, to Periodontitis that eats away at the bone supporting tooth structure, causing pain and sensitivity.

Catching gum disease early is crucial to your optimal oral health, and that's why dentists recommend coming in for your routine cleanings at least twice a year. Reach out to our dentists to schedule a visit today!

  • Do you offer payment plans?

Yes. We understand that every dental patient has different financial needs. We will always do our best to work with you to find a solution that enables you to get the dental treatment you need before your condition worsens.

Our associates will always be available to review your estimated treatment costs before any treatment is done so that you feel prepared and know what to expect. Payment plans through Evergreen Dental and CareCredit are options that many of our patients take advantage of.

  • I have dental anxiety. Are your dentists gentle?

Definitely! A lot of our patients come to us with some form of dental anxiety. Rest assured that there have been major advancements in dentistry and Dr. Timothy Bashford has your comfort top of mind. We're always going to go at your pace and check in with you to see how you're feeling.
